In 1994 I graduated from UNISA with a BA in Social Science, majoring in Social Work and Psychology.  Following my graduation I worked in a Children’s Home where intervention was mainly with the child in need of care and family counselling was rendered where parents were involved. Group work with the children and community services was carried out too.

After several years in this Institution I specialised in Play therapy by obtaining the Master’s degree through the University of Pretoria. During this time I lectured courses on Play therapy at Tertiary Institutions and supervised final year student in the Social Work Department at Unisa.

I broke away from therapy to gain experience in Corporate Wellness where I worked as a Health Consultant of an International company .  Amongst the many roles  carried out in this corporate environment  I especially enjoyed  managing  the training of the Employee Wellness Programme.

When I became a mom I felt ready to go back to work with the  child and so bought a franchise where I worked closely with moms and their babies. The programme involved educating moms on how to stimulate their babies on a physical, social and emotional level. More specifically to develop their fine and gross motor skills through the medium of music, dance, storytelling and playful art.

I have a special interest in designing Life Skill programmes which I conduct  to children and their parents.

My play therapy and counselling practice is based at 371 Milner street in Waterkloof, Pretoria.  This is where I render a therapeutic service to the child (ages 2,5 yrs- 12 years) and adolescent ( we talk more - have conversations -  than we play). Through my sessions with the child or adolescent I help the parent gain insight into their child’s behavior and manage them.
